Overcoming objections

“Courage and perseverance have a magical talisman, before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into air.” -John Quincy Adams

The network marketing industry is a difficult one to master because of the negative perception many have of the industry. However, when presented and explained, network marketing can be quite an enlightening experience. There are many tools available to help a network marketer explain the business to potential entrepreneurs. The largest obstacle for me, and one that is most difficult to get past is simply getting a prospect to listen. Often the first reaction is to dismiss network marketing because of the negative image. It is extremely important to listen to an entire objection before trying to explain. Once you have heard all the reasons the prospect has to why they would not look at an opportunity that is when you can truly answer.

There is a great deal of skepticism on how network marketing works. However, once an individual understands the integrity behind the business they will be much more open to discussing opportunities. Understanding true leveraged residual income is where the inspiration lies in building a successful network marketing business. When a group comes together to promote this business model as a team effort that is when inspiration takes over – and revenue follows.

The benefit of a team environment gives enormous credibility to your business. Adhering to the main objective is crucial while building those team dynamics. Your prospect needs to trust you and your team. A leader is not measured by how many followers they have, but how many followers they have inspired to lead. Be sure that your team knows how to identify the prospects objection(s) by asking questions to clarify concerns before trying to give any response. Asking questions of your prospect will allow you to acknowledge their concerns. Be prepared to record concerns as they arise. Then read them back to clarify with the prospect so they know you have a full understanding of what those concerns are. Now, while explaining the truths of network marketing, be sure to incorporate their questions in to your response. Ask them if they understand to ensure comprehension as you are explaining. Once your prospect achieves awareness of how network marketing works, they will be excited by the true potential. Once this phase is complete, your prospect will be able to make a better business decision. Again, the prospect must feel they can trust you and your team. By clearly identifying their concerns will add credibility to you and your offering to teach them how to build their own business. This approach should also lead to referrals. Do not be afraid to ask for them.

Do not be afraid to ask questions of your up lines, cross lines and even down lines. True team collaboration is what will propel your team to excel in achieving their desires and goals. Never stop looking for information. Knowledge is the best tool you can obtain and share with not only your team, but also your prospects. Displaying your knowledge and actively pursuing education will reflect in the relationship you develop with your team and your prospects.
